O’ Dear little sparrow hear my call,
Hear the song of dancing leaves.
Down to dust the mighty must fall,
But my love is eternal tell them all.
Even if the sky do burst
And the Sun do stop to glow.
My love must not alter,
Go little sparrow tell them so.
Go tell the squirrels to look at her,
To show her love and take her care.
Go tell the breeze to make her calm,
To cherish her beauty and furnish her charm.
These are but childish thoughts of mine,
Sky never bursts nor the Sun stops to shine.
True is but you never loved me
And truest is the fact that I still love thee.
